Clients have the liberal opportunity to ask to see any of their own documented notes.

 

I will then have 7 working days to provide these.

 

Clients are also at will to ask for any of their documented notes to be destroyed unless these notes are required in the presence of an authoritative body.

All notes will be destroyed after a period of   5 years (18+),                                                     7 years (0-18 years), and                             100 years                                                         (care experienced/fostered/adopted)           since the client has remained inactive from receiving this service.

 

The only time client notes will be retained is if they have consented to their notes being stored for academic research, or in light of a legal requirement by an authoritative body.
